is the second largest island of China after Taiwan.
So traveling to Haikou and Sanya by ferries from
Beihai, Guangzhou and Hai'an were the most popular
way. Though flying is the easiest way, but still
some guests would like to travel by ferry. But personally,
I don't suggest a trip by ferry as the poor conditions
and services on the ferries and they depend on too
much on the weather.

to Haikou was cancelled. The only way from Shenzhen
to Haikou, Hainan Island is flying. Please check

Also the ferry from Hong Kong to Haikou was cancelled.

Besides
Flight, traveling by Ferry/boat is also a nice choice
if you have more time and would like to enjoy a
nice view on the way. But ferries/boats are depending
too much on the weather conditions. So if you travel
in the raining and typhoon season from June to Oct.
we suggest that you don't choose the ferry/boat
for a long term plan. You will get a confirmed answer
maybe just one week in advance if there is typhoon
or not.
We could book you the tickets and you will pick
up in your departure cities. But normally reservation
is not required as the ferry/boat has plenty of
seats and rooms available all the time. More people
decide to fly from Guangzhou to Haikou within one
hour from the following places rather than taking
the ferry.

Zhanjiang --- Xingang New Harbour Haikou Hainan Island
The distance between Hai'an and Xingang New Harbor Haikou
Hainan Island is just 11 sea miles. There are ferries
at around every one hour between the two places. So it
is very convenient. The price is also cheap only RMB30/person,
just chairs.
